Wouldn’t bow to the pressure of stone-pelting, says Prachanda

LALITPUR:
UCPN (Maoist) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that his party would not  succumb to the pelting of stones by some ‘hooligans.  Speaking at a district convention of the UCPN (Maoist) Lalitpur, Prachanda also accussed the opposition parties of deploying hooligans to disrupt the convention of his party and warned that such tendency would be detrimental for them.
Warning that the parties claiming themselves to be pro-democratic would find their existence in papers only after some years, he urged the opposition to build a national consensus by stopping the blame game.
‘Let us go for polls if you have the courage to face the people and let accept people’s mandate’, he said.
Also speaking in the program, UCPN (Maoist) Vice-chairperson and Prime minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai said that the NC and UML, which have been in power for 20 years after the restoration of multiparty democracy, have become frightened for being outside the power for 2-3 years.
