We are striving for vote rights in upcoming elections: NRN Prez
SALIKRAM GAUTAM, Netherlands: NRN-ICC President Jiba Lamichhane has claimed that the organization is been in talks with stakeholders back at home in Nepal to secure voting rights for them in the upcoming CA elections.
Speaking at the fifth regional conference of NRN-EU in Amsterdam on Friday, Lamichhane said that he was hopeful that the NRNs will be able to vote in the elections.
He informed that the organization has also been striving hard for securing dual citizenship rights. Apart from this he elaborated that most of the NRNs were interested in group investment in hydropower sector.
Elaborating on the focus of the organization, he said that the organization is focusing on charity organization, stabilizing NRN, and registration procedures of NRNs.
Speaking at the program, NRN-EU regional coordinator Kumar Panta said that the organization is putting up efforts to secure economic prosperity for the Nepalese people and expressed commitment to continue the good work in the days ahead.
Among others the program was attended by NRN-ICC patron Ram Pratap Shah, Hitman Gurung, NRN-ICC Vice Preident Laxya Gurung.
