US backing peace process unchanged

N24 Correspondent, KATHMANDU: Acting US Ambassador for Nepal Patricia A. Mahoney met with Peace and Reconciliation Minister Satya Pahadi on Friday.

During the meeting held at Peace and Reconciliation Ministry in Singha Durbar today,  Mahoney stated that the peace process is heading towards the right direction. Mahoney further expressed her confidence that the political parties would work hard to take the peace process to a logical conclusion.

Saying that US has always supported Nepal in the peace process, US envoy Mahoney said that US would continue its support. In response, Minister Pahadi thanked the US government for its support to the peace process and said peace has gathered pace as of late.

Moreover, Minister Pahadi said that Nepal hopes for the continuation of the US support.
