UK interfered Nepal’s sovereignty, accuses PM Dr Bhattarai
Criticizing the arrest of torture suspect Nepal Army Colonel Kumar Lama, the Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has accused that the UK government violated the international law by arresting Lama.
Speaking at a program in capital today, he said that the UK government interfered in Nepal’s sovereignty by arresting the Nepal Army officer deployed in UN peacekeeping mission and without informing Nepal.
The UK government has no right to punish Colonel Lama and added that Lama would be booked under domestic law if he were to be found guilty.
