UCPN (Maoist) to hold general convention on Feb 2 in Hetauda
After 22 years of gap, the general convention of the UCPN (Maoist) will be convened on February 2 in Hetauda, according to the decision of bureau-in-charge meeting held on Friday morning at Prime Minister’s residence Baluwataar. The meeting has decided to postpone the date and change the venue of the convention which was earlier scheduled to be held on Janaury 28 in capital. The jamboree is set to bring the 2000 party delegates across the country. Though the convention will convened in Hetauda, it will be concluded on Feb 12 in Kathmandu by organizing various programs to commemorates ‘People’s war’, which falls in the day.
The meeting also condluded not to transfer the government until the package with the opposition parties by incorporating the content of the constitution agreed by the parties.
