UCPN Maoist forms talk-team to deal with revolutionaries

KATHMANDU: A day after it suffered a split, the UCPN Maoist on Wednesday formed three member team to hold talks with revolutionary political groups, including Baidya led Maoist.

The Standing Committee meeting of the party on Wednesday formed the negotiation teams that comprise leaders Ameek Sherchan, Barsha Man Pun and Dinnath Sharma.

Tagging the Baidya led party to be a group of dissinters more prone to splitting, and regressive in nature, they called on all revolutionary forces for not aligning with them.

The party claimed that the Baidya’s party leaders had despised and derided the achievements of the people’s revolution and war.

It called on all party cadres to move ahead with caution and dissesting from violence to avert any untoward situation in the future.
