Tusker tramples two to death

CHITWAN:
Two elderly persons have been killed by a wild elephant at Draupatinagar of Gardi VDC in Chitwan last night. The died persons have been learn to be husband and wife. Budhiram Bote , 61, had died on the spot while his other half Jariya Bote, 58, died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chitwan.

District Police Office Chitwan has informed that an elephant from the nearby Chitwan National Park has attacked them while they were sleeping in their own home.

Following the attack of elephant, the locals have informed the Park administration and Police but the elephant had already taken a toll while the police reached to site, a local informed.
The locals have complained that the administration has been turning their deaf ears to the plight of the casualties made by the wild animals time and again from the nearby Chitwan National park.
