DADELDHURA: The wait is not yet over for the locals of Rupal village in Dadeldhura district to get land-ownership certificate. One hundred and fifty families in Rupal are yet to get their landownership certificates for not constructing a toilet at their home. Out of the 937 families in Rupal VDC, these many families have been waiting to get the land ownership documents since 1995 BS.
The families are being denied the land-ownership certificates for not constructing toilets at home as part of the campaign to declare Rupal VDC as ‘open defecation free area’, according to the Rupal Village Development Committee (VDC) office. RSS
