3 dead, 3 injured in jeep accident in Baitadi, Far-west Nepal

BAITADI: Three people were killed and three others injured in a jeep accident took place today at Dashrathchand municipality-11 in Baitadi, Far-west Nepal.
The jeep (Ga 1 Ja 4921) en route to Nagarjun from Dehimandau met with an accident at Nanigadh at around 11:30 am.
Identities of all the three victims of Baitadi jeep accident have been ascertained.
The deceased have been identified as Hiraballav Bhatta, 45, Naruli Bhatta, 65 and Lalmani Bhatta, 60, of Dasharathchand municipality-10.
They died on the spot in the incident, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Netramani Giri. Similarly, Prakash Bhatta, 45, of Dasharathchand municipality-10, Rahul Bhatta, 26, of Bhimduttanagar and jeep driver Nabin Bhatta of Dasharathchand municipality-10 were injured in the incident.
All the injured are receiving treatment at the District Hospital. The accident took place when the jeep (Ga 1 Ja 4921) en route to Nagarjun from Dehimandau fell 150 metres off the road at Nanigadh. A total seven people were travelling in the jeep. Investigations are underway.
The cause of the accident is yet to be known. It fell some 150 meters down from the road.
