Three dead in rain-triggered floods in Nepal’s capital city Kathmandu
KATHMANDU: Three persons including two from a single family died when a house wall nearby collapsed at Mulpani of Kathmandu today.
The deceased have been identified as Sharmila Yadav, 35, of Devtal rural municipality-5 of Bara district, her 10-year-old son and Nitu Yadav, 30 of the same address, according to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Bouddha.
Sharmila Yadav and her son were rushed to Nepal Medical College, Attarkhel, where they were declared dead on the arrival, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Narendra Chand.
He said that they were staying in a hut adjoining the house of Balram Khatri. Khatri’s house wall collapsed, claiming three lives.
