Thapa roots for electoral government

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Kamal Thapa, has said that an electoral government should be formed to remove existing constitutional crisis and hold fair elections for the Constituent Assembly (CA).

Talking to media persons at the Janakpur Airport today, Thapa said that Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai should region from the post so as to pave the way for formation of an electoral government.

He added that there was no possibility of holding the CA elections in a free and fair manner by this government.

He claimed that the elections could be held in a free and fair manner only after a government under the leadership of former or incumbent chief justices comprising the civil society representatives was formed.

Thapa further said that the government should immediately provide fertilizer to farmers.

The RPP Chairman stressed the need of the Hindu country with the constitutional monarchy. The incumbent government with caretaker status could not bring the complete budget, he said.

Thapa was here in course of attending a condolence meeting for party Vice-Chairman Hem Bahadur Malla who had passed away recently. RSS
