Thapa accuses government of fostering anti-China activism
DANG: Maoist leader Ram Bahadur Thapa has accused the present government of supporting free Tibet movement and condoning anti-China protests. “Anti-China protests have risen since this government came to power.
It has been supporting the free Tibet activists,” Thapa told a press conference at Lamahi of Dang on Wednesday. He said that questions are being raised if the Maoist party is behind the growing protests against the Chinese authorities. He drew attention at how China has already expressed its concern to the government.
“The Chinese president’s visit was delayed for the same reason. He did pay the visit but left hurriedly. This shows China’s growing concern with this government,” Thapa said. He claimed that the present coalition was not faring well on the international relations front.
