Storm of protests would topple the govt, claims Khanal
Ruling out the possibility of national consensus anytime soon, CPN (UML) Chairman Jhalanath Khanal has warned of ousting the incumbent government by creating storm of protests nationwide.
Opposition parties chose an agitation as a main agenda of the hour as contentious efforts aimed at finding a way out to the nation from the existing political crisis on the basis of consensus at the political level went in vain, he said.
Speaking at a press meet organized by the Press Chautari Nepal, Baglung chapter this morning, the UML Chairman accused the UCPN (Maoist) of causing obstructions in forging a consensus among the political parties.
“Consensus was not possible due to ‘totalitarian mindset ‘ of the UCPN (Maoist)”, he said “Now, the nation has gone to an agitation”, he said, adding that current political matters would be settled through the joint agitation of the opposition parties within this winter.
