Stahapit moves to apex court demanding reinstatement in KVDA

Former Chief Commissioner of the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority (KVDA), Keshav Sthapit, has moved to the Supreme Court today challenging the government decision to dismiss him from the post.
Sthapit, who was appointed as the Chief Commissioner on the KVDA on April 29 last year, was removed by the cabinet meeting from the post on January 17. The government has appointed Yogeswor Krishna Parajuli in his post the former.
In his writ filed at the apex court, Sthapit, who is also a former Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has demanded the order from the court to reinstate him in the post claiming that the government decision to sack him was ‘illegal’.
