Speaker urges senior leaders to forge consensus

KATHMANDU: Top leaders of the three major parties held talks with Speaker Subas Nembang, today. In the meeting held at the Speaker’s chamber at Singh Durbar, discussions were held on the contentious issues of the constitution.
On the occasion, the Speaker drew the attention of the top leaders to take initiation for forging consensus at the earliest given the very short time remaining for constitution-writing.
UCPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, CPN (UML) president Jhalanath Khanal and Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader Ram Chandra Paudel were present in the talks.
The Constitutional Committee is currently in session at Singh Durbar immediately after the talks with the Speaker. RSS
