Social activist Dil Shova Shrestha feted in Korea
Korea: Social Worker Dil Shova Shrestha, who has been running mother’s home in Kathmandu and providing protection to elderly people and poor children, receive felicitation in Korea. Shrestha has been providing support to elderly people expelled from their house and poor children since last 17 years.
She was honored Women for Women, a organization of Nepalese women in South Korea, Vision Nepal Network and Nepalkorea.com amidst a function held at Gyondong Church. Representatives of various organizations of Korea and high profile personalities jointly honored Shrestha for her contribution in the society.
She was honored during a program organized to mark the 103rd International Women’s Day, where Shrestha participated as the Chief Guest. The program chaired by Junu Gurung of Women for Women was conducted by Giriraj Kunwar. Seven million Korean currency was collected during the program which was handed over to Shrestha for her work in Nepal.
Meanwhile, Nepali people staying in Kimhe area will organize a program on March 24 at Kimhe Migrant Mission Church to honor Shrestha.
