SK reiterates call for concluding peace first

BARDIBAS, April 3: Nepali Congress president Sushil Koirala has said works related to constitution writing would not move forward until the conclusion of the peace process.

He expressed this view in an interaction with locals after observing the Majar of the Muslim saint, Gadalibaba, at Dhamaura in Mahottari district today.

The NC president stated that the new constitution would institutionalize the democratic republic.

He accused the UCPN (Maoist) of unnecessarily delaying the peace process on petty issues just when the people are upbeat about the successful conclusion of the peace process.

The Nepali Congress president declared that nobody could prevent the declaration of the new constitution on May 27, as there was no alternative to peace and constitution.

On the occasion, Koirala paid respect to the Gadalibaba at the Mazar by offering a shawl. RSS
