Six students held on charge of black smearing assistant dean

CHITWAN: The Chitwan police today arrested six students on the charge of misbehaving with Agriculture and Forestry University, Rampur, Faculty of Agriculture’s assistant dean Prof Bishnu Raj Ojha.
They were taken under control from the Rampur Campus premises. The arrested are Santosh Khatiwada, Gopal Thapa, Bamdev Regmi, Milan Chauhan, Bibhor Gauli and Susan Poudel. The arrest followed the filing of an FIR against them by the teacher. Prior to this, the meeting of the University executive council expelled them from the college for two months for the misconduct.
The group on April 4 put black smear on the assistant dean’s face, by labeling several accusations against him. The Democratic University Teachers’ Association has been protesting against the incident.
