Sinha holds discussions with Congress President

KATHMANDU: Senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Yashwant Sinha, today called on President of the Nepali Congress (NC) Sushil Koirala at the latter’s residence at Maharajgunj in the capital.

During the meeting, they discussed on various issues including the latest political development of Nepal, efforts among political parties for forging consensus, elections declared by the government, among others, according to Koirala’s press aide Bipul Pokhrel.

Koirala said that there is a need of moving ahead by forging consensus among political parties and the NC has forwarded process of talks among the parties for the same and he stressed on reaching to consensus soon, Pokhrel quoted Koirala as saying.

On the occasion, Sinha said that there is the goodwill of the people of India for peace and stability in Nepal and added that India is ready to provide necessary support for the same.

Sinha, who arrived in Kathmandu on Monday in connection with his three-day personal visit to Nepal, has already visited Chairman of the UCPN-Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal, senior leader of the NC, Sher Bahadur Deuba, among others. RSS
