Senior opposition leaders launch salvo against Maoist

KATHMANDU: The opposition parties including Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) have commenced the protest mass meeting at the open air theatre at Tundhikhel in the capital this afternoon.

A total of 22 political parties are attending the mass meeting calling for institutionalising federal democratic republic and maintaining social harmony.

The participants of the rallies demanded resignation of Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai.Earlier, the rallies were started from Sundhara, Bhrikutimandap, Putalisadak, New Plaza, Gaushala, Lainchaur and other parts of the city.Top leaders of the opposition parties are scheduled to address the programme.
