‘Sacred Love’ hits bookshops

KATHMANDU: The book entitled ‘Sacred Love’ by Singapore-based writer Shivaji Das that features history and significance of woodcarving and Tundal of various Kathmandu’s temples was launched amid a programme in the Capital on Saturday.

It also contains erotic pictures. Sharing his experiences in the course of working out on the creation, Das at the event said the book is based on a long research on the history of various temples of Kathmandu.

The book aims to make importance of various temples and heritages of the valley that were built on various ancient aspects and religious beliefs known to the international level, he said.

Commenting on the book, another speaker Prof Dr Abhi Subedi said Das’s work will become an important way to study religious reality, creations within culture and craftsmanship of artists.
