Ruling Maoist adamant on shaping the current govt into national consensus
The main ruling party UCPN (Maoist) has claimed that the amicable outlet for the current political impasse is to give the incumbent government a shape of national consensus government.
The meeting of the party officials and bureau in-charges held at the Lazimpat residence of party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday concluded that present Prime Minister should lead the national consensus government.
The meeting also decided to remain open in another alternative of forming the government under the leadership of other leader from the current coalition if Dr Bhattarai is unacceptable to opposition parties. After the meeting, party Spokesperson Agni Sapkota informed the media-persons that they have decided to give the present government the shape of a national consensus one by offering important ministries to the Congress and the UML. He, however, didn’t ruled out the possibility of giving the leadership to the Congress if it agrees on the content of the constitution that Maoist aspires.
