RPP-N’s Thapa still wants to test Monarchy at the ballot box

KATHMANDU: Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal, Kamal Thapa has called for holding a referendum to determine the fate of monarchy in the country.

Opening the party’s fourth district convention in Chitwan on Sunday, leader Thapa said that the big three parties have no right to take any such decision on monarchy.

He further added that federalism based on ethnicity was not good for the country.

Accusing the Maoist leadership of misappropriating millions of rupees in the name of its former combatants, RPP-Nepal Chairman challenged the Maoists for economic transparency on its activities.

Party co-general secretary Sushil Shrestha, co-treasurer Taranath Luintel, parliamentary party leader Chandra Bahadur Gurung and Chitwan district chairman Badri Timilsena also put their views at the programme. RSS
