Robbery in Mahottari, Southeast Nepal; one held, three injured
MAHOTTARI: A group of dacoits has robbed two houses in Bardibas, Mahottari, last night.
The group fled the scene after robbing property worth Rs 1.5 million from Bardibas municipality, ward 6 and 7.
According to the District Police Office, Mahottari, the group robbed the houses of Ramsunar Mahato of ward 7 and Chandreswor Mahato of ward 6.
In the meantime, the villagers and robbers had clashed nearby local Badahari rivulet where three sustained injuries. Villagers held Dev Narayan Kapad, 40, of Chandpur municipality, Sarlahi and handed him to police.
Mahato, his wife Jayabati Devi and son Umahesh Mahato, 27, were also injured in the clash.
Madhav Budhathoki, Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) at District Police Office, Mahottari, said the injured are critical and are receiving treatment at Shubhaswastic Hospital in Bardibas.
