Rebel leader shot down in Indian town
Parsa: A leader of an underground organization died after an unknown group fired a bullet on him at Raxaul, India, bordering Birgunj, last night.
The deceased has been identified as Mohit Yadav of Sukhipatara VDC in Parsa district, affiliated to Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Party (Bhagat Singh group), an underground group.
The incident took place near Mansamai Temple of Bihar’s Eastern Champaran, Raxual of India at 8:30 pm after two persons on motorcycle with Nepali number plate fired bullet on Yadav at the main road while he was on way to his room.
He was returning to room on a motorcycle with central treasurer of the party, Birendra Yadav. Mohit was a pillion rider, said Raxual police.
Mohit had received two bullets on chest and belly.
In-charge of Police Post, Raxual, Police Inspector RK Singh said that Mohit died on way to hospital while being taken for reatment. Condition of Birendra Yadav is unknown and it is also learnt that he was also injured in the incident, said Singh.
Indian police suspect that Mohit might be killed due to internal disputes between underground groups. Police said that preparations are underway to bring the body to Sadar Hospital for post mortem. Singh said that search for the guilty is underway.
Mohit joined Bhagat Singh Group two months ago by leaving Goit Group though he was Bara district In-charge of the All Janatantrik Mukti Morcha (Goit Group) earlier. RSS
