Rathi’s killing saddens UML, FNCCI
The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry has expressed deep sorrow over the killing of Ganga Bishan Rathi, a Biratnagar-based industrialist and former president of the Morang Trade Association.
Rathi had been missing since three weeks and his body was found in Siligudhi, India three days back.
In a press release on Sunday, FNCCI demanded that Rathi’s murder be thoroughly investigated into and analysed in the context of criminals taking advantage of the open border between Nepal and India from time to time.
It also drew the attention of the bodies concerned to the need of beefing up the security through increased coordination and collaboration between the security bodies of both countries.
The CPN-UML also expressed sorrow over industrialist Rathi’s murder after his abduction. In a condolence message, the party condemned the killing and demanded that the criminals involved in Rathi’s murder be brought to justice.
