Rabid Jackal rein terror in two VDCs of Siraha district

SIRAHA: Twenty one people have been injured in two VDCs in two days in a jackal terror in Chandralalpur and Lalpur VDCs of Siraha district.

One injured from the jackal bite, Ram Udgar Yadav of Sangrampur in Lalpur VDC- 1 said he was working in the field, and a jackal suddenly pounced on him. He had nothing in hand but fought with the jackal for half an hour and the jackal scratched all over his body and bit in four places of the body.

The jackals bit Bhuti Yadav, Fulo Yadav, Kapil Yadav, and Saroj Kumar Yadav and 16 people in various wards of Chandralalpur VDC have also been bitten by the jackals.

Those bitten had reached Siraha District Hospital for vaccine against rabies, but the hospital turned them back saying there was no vaccine, said Bhuti Yadav.

Injured Kapil Yadav has sought refuge to the village shaman returning from the hospital.

He has been receiving the service of shaman Baubelal Singh of Lalpur-8 as the hospital failed to provide services.

The injured are in limbo and the people of both the VDCs have been terrorized. RSS
