Pro- and anti ethnic federalism protests in Dhangadi

KATHMANDU: Situation in Dhangadi has got tense after forces in support and against of “One Far West” came to streets chanting their respective slogans.

Fearing clashes between them, security forces have been deployed in the area massively. While the the supporters of one-Far West have launched protests in the boring, Tharuhat is preparing to rock the streets in the evening.

The Region has remained closed for the past fifteen days and the morning rally had witnessed huge public participation. The numbers according to witnesses was well over ten thousand.

The 2 km long protest rally was participated by women, children and adult and went across the major towns of the cities.
