Prez urges Prachanda for consensus by Nov 29
President Dr Rambaran Yadav has urged UCPN (Maoist) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to reach a consensus within November 29. During the meeting held on Tuesday at the Office of the President, Dr Yadav also assured Prachanda that he would take the steps based on political consensus only. After the meeting, Prachanda informed the media-persons that the two also discussed not to prolong the debate on whether or not the President’s call was constitutional as well as the present political imbroglio.
Prachanda said, “Consensus should not be obstructed. Environment should not be troubled. We should make the situation better.”
Saying that environment for consensus was being more positive, Dahal added that his effort made for forging consensus between the President and Prime Minister was clear before all.
Dahal said that the President has no alternative to give more time based on political parties’ recommendation for the formation of the national unity government if the political parties failed to strike a deal by the slated deadline.
Earlier today, Chairman Dahal also discussed with Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai and Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar.
