Prez summons Big-four today to inquire into failures

After the political parties fail to meet the eighth deadline of the President Dr Ram Baran Yadav to pick the Prime Minister candidate of national consensus, the head of the state has summoned the leaders of major political forces today afternoon at his official residence Shital Niwas.
President Dr Yadav has invited leaders of four major political forces -UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), United Madhesi Democratic Force (UDMF) – to inquire them about the reasons for the failure to forge much-anticipated national consensus even after the eighth deadline.
Meanwhile, President Dr Yadav is also holding an all-party-meeting of the political parties representing in the dissolved Constituent Assembly in a bid to find an outlet for the current political and constitutional deadlock.
The latest deadline has expired yesterday without any deal between the parties. President Dr Yadav has provided the eighth deadline for 5 days for the formation of a national unity government on January 5 following the request of the major parties with a commitment to find a meeting point on candidate to head the election government.
