Prez Dr Yadav urges parties to shun confrontational politics

KATHMANDU:
President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has urged the leaders of the political parties to shun the confrontational politics and give an outlet to the country through consensus.
Meeting the leaders of the political parties at his own residence today morning, he asked the parties to arrive into a consensus for ending the current political deadlock.
Emerging from the meeting, CPN (UML) Chairperson Jhalanath Khanal told the reporters that though the President has requested them for the consensus, the current deadlock would get the passage only through the street protest.
Likewise, Congress Vice-president Ram Chandra Poudel informed that they advised the President Dr Yadav for taking a move for ending the political stalemate.
However, UCPN (Maoist) leader Amik Sherchan accused the opposition parties of rejecting even to sit for the dialogue.
Earlier today morning, President Dr Yadav has met the Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai and expressed his concern over the current political situation.
