President Bhandari invites the Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit Nepal
BEIJING: Nepal’s President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary of Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC Zhao Leji held a bilateral meeting today evening in Chinese capital Beijing today. During the meeting held at Diaoyutai State Guest House, talk about all aspects of Nepal-China relations was held.
President Bhandari is currently on a nine-day State visit to China at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Earlier today, in the bilateral meeting held between President Bhandari and President Xi at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, the two Presidents had extended substantive views on further strengthening and consolidating the ties of co-operative friendship and mutually beneficial partnership subsisting between the two countries.
During the meeting, President Bhandari had extended an invitation to her Chinese counterpart for a State visit to Nepal to which the Chinese President was said to respond positively. According to Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Shanker Das Bairagi, discussion was held between the two Presidents on the areas such as education, tourism, and investment and cross-border economic zones among others.
Thereafter Secretary Leji hosted a dinner in honor of President Bhandari on behalf of President Xi.
