Prachanda proposes high-level mechanism to garner consensus
During his separate meetings with Congress President Sushil Koirala and UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, Prachanda urged both leaders to clearly outline their expectations from the Maoists to resolve contentions.
He also urged them to sit for talks and resolve all the contentions through dialogues.
Exiting the meeting held at Koirala’s residence, Prachanda said that he had urged for finding outlet to constitution writing, government formation and other issues through dialogues.
He said that they have agreed to continue discussions on outstanding issues of the new constitution from where they were left on May 27.
However Koirala suggested that the present political impasse could be resolved by following the five point agreement.
Prachanda had visited Nepal at his residence after meeting Koirala. However Nepal denied to sit for talks unless the PM tendered his resignation to the President.
