Prachanda, PM discuss party unity

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and UCPN (Maoist) Vice-chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai has held discussions with UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the latter’s residence in Lazimpat this morning.

The two leaders discussed latest political development, widening intraparty rift and the ways to manage the party’s mass meeting scheduled for June 15 in the capital, according to Dahal’s aide Shiva Khakurel.

Khakurel said that discussions were held to take special initiative for party unity by urging the Baidya faction to postpone the cadres’ meet called by the dissident faction on June 15.

On the occasion, the leader held talks on Maoist party’s roles for forging national unity and the ongoing dialogues with other political parties. RSS
