Prachanda accuses oppn of fearing election
UCPN (Maoist) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has accused the opposition parties of hesitating to go for election fearing that the ruling Maoist alliance would secure the two third majority in the election.
Speaking at the district convention of party’s sister wing Young Communist League in Sindhupalchowk today, Maoist supremo Prachandha accused some national and international forces including some media are attempting to vilify the Maoist.
Prachanda claimed that the parties would forge the much-hyped national consensus before the President Dr Ram Baran Yadav arrived back to the country from his six-day long official India tour.
“As I’m the commander of the people’s movement, people have trusted me. Accordingly I make utmost efforts to forge consensus,” he said.
The rupture in the party had no effects at all, Chairman Dahal said, claiming that some leaders in the faction led by leader Mohan Baidya were returning to the party again.
