Poudel doubts unity in party

TANAHUN: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Ram Chandra Poudel has said that unity in the party was not likely just by shaking of hands between the two senior leaders.
Addressing the party cadres’ meet at Bandipur Rural Municipality-1 in Tanahun on Tuesday, leader Poudel said that the recent handshake between him and party president Sher Bahadur Deuba in the recently concluded NC Mahasamiti Meeting could not be construed as unity in the party.
He added that unity in the NC would prevail only from the justice, impartiality and transparent evaluation.
Leader Poudel also shared that he wanted unity in the party based on agenda. “Let’s work as per party calendar; unity is likely on that. Let’s work being based on agendas; there is unity. There is no meaning of fake unity done just to show off,” Poudel fumed.
