Political problem prolonging as CA was not resurrected, claims Deuwa

BHAKTAPUR:
Nepali Congress Senior Leader and Former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuwa has claimed the political deadlock has prolonged as a result for not reinstating the demised Constituent Assembly. If the constituent assembly was restored at the time I had demanded, the political impasse in the country would already have cleared, Deuwa said.
Speaking at a program of Bhaktapur Chapter of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) on the occasion of its 16th establishment day here today, he also pointed out the need of immediate election to give political outlet to the country. As election is the spirit of democracy, parties should forge consensus for the election as soon as possible, he added.
Likewise, he accused the UCPN-Maoist of prolonging the crisis by declining the NC’s proposal of President Sushil Koirala as next prime minister.
