PM’s India visit successful, NC leader Dr Mahat says

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Ram Sharan Mahat has said that the Prime Minister’s three-day visit to India was fruitful.
At an interaction programme here Monday, Dr Mahat said no PM’s visit to India so far is unfruitful and PM KP Sharma Oli’s visit was goodwill visit that played a role to strengthen Nepal-India relations.
No Indian PM’s visit to Nepal so far was unfruitful; he said while adding that India herself has realized the misunderstanding created after the promulgation of constitution in Nepal. India was willing to develop its relations with Nepal from new dimensions.
He said Indian senior minister receiving our PM at the airport, awarding honorary PhD to PM Oli and one-to-one meeting with Indian counterpart Narendra Modi were good gestures. “Bringing railway service is good thing but mere speech is not sufficient. Total cost for railway and finalization of financial closure and detail study are yet to be carried out,” the former finance minister said. RSS
