PM in Siraha with relief package

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has reached Siraha on Wednesday, along with some ministers, to announce relief package for families who lost their houses to inferno on Tuesday.

PM Bhattarai is scheduled to take stalk of the incident site situated in Aurahi VDC of Siraha district.

The inferno which started from a local house had gutted over 3000 houses and displaced over 1000 families.

Six people have been injured in the incident and are undergoing treatment at a local hospital. The damages incurred by the inferno are estimated to go well over billions of rupees.

The PM is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar and Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel and Minister for Information and Communication Raj Kishor Yadav.
