Paudel confers with Norwegian envoy

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader Ram Chandra Paudel and Ambassador of Norway to Nepal, Tore Toreng, held a meeting at the former’s residence at local Boharatar this morning.

During the meeting, the Norwegian ambassador expressed happiness over the progress made in the peace process and also the confidence that the new constitution would be promulgated on the stipulated time with the political parties reaching agreement on the remaining issues of the constitution writing, Paudel said of their meeting.

On the occasion, Paudel informed Ambassador Toreng that the environment for constitution writing has been built with the works related to the peace process moving ahead in a positive direction.

Stating the leaders of the political parties were holding intensive discussions on contentious issues of the constitution, Paudel said a way out would be sought through talks among the parties. RSS
