Parties give up hope for constitution, discussing alternatives

KATHMANDU: Lead political parties who were earlier looking forward to promulgate the new constitution even by incorporating issues that have been resolved so far, have given up hope to do so also.

Forwarding time restraints to follow constitution process to promulgate the new constitution, parties have engaged in discussion for alternatives to be adopted.

Ongoing meeting of three lead political parties and madheshi Front have started discussion on the future course to be adopted informed Maoist leader Post Bahadur Bogati while exiting the meeting.

Bogati informed that the senior leaders were discussing action plan to be adopted after the CA is dissolved without promulgating the new constitution.

UML leader K P Oli also ruled out the possibility to promulgate the new constitution by showing time constraints. He informed that parties were mulling on the option of going for election or finding other options to be adopted after the CA is dissolved.
