Over 7,000 households resurveyed in Tanahun for quake grants

TANAHUN: A resurvey of 7,835 households has been conducted in Tanahun for the post-earthquake house building grants project. According to the District Project Implementation Unit (grants management and local infrastructure) Tanahu, so far, 7,835 households of 10 local levels were resurveyed. The re-survey kicked off on May 2 following the public complaints that quake victims were deprived of benefits.

It is learnt that 9,792 households had applied for resurvey.

Unit Chief Jay Prakash Gupta informed that the survey was conducted in all local levels except Byas and Bhanu municipalities. These two municipalities have recorded maximum complaints, so survey was delayed, he added. A total of 53 technicians were mobilized for the household re-survey.
