Opposition parties student stone PM’s motorcade

KATHMANDU: Hundreds of students affiliated to various opposition parties- Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN UML- stoned the Prime Minister’s motorcade while heading to the Tribhuvan International Airport.

The PM was on his way to Brazil to participate in the G20 International Conference.  Opposition party supporters and students had pelted stones and clashed with riot police after the latter tried to stop them from protesting and showing black flags to the PM.

Two security vehicles were damaged and the rioters smashed windscreen of a bus.
