Opposition lawmakers protest in HoR meeting

KATHMANDU: Lawmakers of the opposition Nepali Congress (NC) protested in the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) today.
The NC lawmakers protested in the House meeting stating that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli failed to include the issues of alleged corruption charge on wide-body aircraft procurement and dillydally in Sikta Irrigation Project and Budhigandaki hyel project while addressing the parliament.
The NC lawmakers put forth their demands seeking time with the Speaker to ask questions to the Prime Minister on his address to the parliament.
After the NC lawmakers’ protest, Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara had postponed the meeting for 15 minutes. The next meeting of the HoR is scheduled to be held at 1 pm on January 9.
