Not right time to evaluate government: NCP leader Nepal
KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal on Saturday said time has not come yet to evaluate the one-year-old government. Saying the government has failed to spread its ‘good’ work to the grassroots level due to delay in completing NCP unification process, he suggested the government work in a way that citizens could feel changes.
“Government’s policies and programmes have been endorsed. Now pro-people and popular programmes should be brought through the upcoming budget,” he said while launching a book ‘Sansadma Pahilo Paila (First Footstep in Parliament)’ by former lawmaker Anarkali Miya amid a programme here.
He also cautioned the government against erosion of people’s faith if it fails to implement commitments doled out during elections.
Commenting on the book, NCP standing committee member Yubraj Gyawali said the book has depicted life experience of Miya in a simple language. Likewise, NCP central member Thakur Gaire viewed the book as important resource for those who have never-ever experienced Parliament.
Author Miya said he has told his life experience, political life and experience about Parliament through this book.
