No reservation for Justice to disclose property-Acting CJ Joshi
KATHMANDU: Acting Chief Justice Deepak Raj Joshi has said there is no reservation on part of the Justices to disclose their properties.
At a meeting with law beat reporters here today, he said, “Justices would not have any reservations for disclosing their property details if the government came up with the law to that effect”.
He further noted, “The issue of property disclosure by justices has come to the fore. There is no as such law in this regard as of now. It would not be a big deal if the government framed law on property disclosure applicable to justices”.
He however lambasted media for giving high priority to showcase negative part of the judiciary ignoring good verdicts.
Urging the media to study reforms carried out by judiciary sector, he said delay in justice delivery is caused by inadequate human resource.
