Nepal’s ruling NCP district level leadership finally merged
KATHMANDU: The district leadership of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has been finally merged, almost one year after unification of the then CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre).
A central secretariat meeting of the NCP on Sunday allocated the portfolios of district committee chairperson and secretary. The NCP has made public the name list of the party district leadership amid a program organised here on Monday on the occasion of NCP Establishment Day.
According to the new party standards, sitting people’s representatives can take charge of party district committee chairperson or secretary. Likewise, the chief of the district committee of the then UML and Moist Centre can take up the jobs of party district committee chairperson or secretary. Party district committee membership will be recommended by the task force.
