Nepal’s President walking along the edge of a sword, says Singh

KATHMANDU:
Leader of Indian National Congress Karan Singh has cautioned Nepal’s President Dr Ram Baran Yadav while making any moves. Speaking at Indo-Nepal Seminar on “Malviya’s Contribution to Modern Education – Banaras Hindu University and its impact in Nepal” on Friday, Singh said: “You are walking at the edge of the sword so take your step with caution while making the journey for building New Nepal.”
He also clarified he came to Nepal as a Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University as well as a son-in-law of Nepal.
Chief Guest President Dr Ram Baran Yadav highlighted the personality of Malviya as well as appreciated the role Leader Singh played in Peoples’ Movement 2006 of Nepal.
Mahamana Madan Mohan Malvia was one of the prominent freedom fighters of India who shaped the outlook of modern India. He was a great educationist and staunch proponent of modern education in India. For this in 1916, he founded the Banaras Hindu University, which is among the most prestigious and well reputed universities in India.
Two-day long high level Indo-Nepal Seminar on “Malviya’s Contribution to Modern Education – Banaras Hindu University and its impact in Nepal” has kicked off in Kathmandu on the occasion of Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya’s 150th birth anniversary.
