Nepal’s Gopi Chandra Parki wins first gold in men’s athletics
KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Gopi Chandra Parki has won a gold medal in men’s 5000 meters running under the ongoing 13th South Asian Games at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu today morning.
Parki completed the race in 14 minutes 54.20 seconds. In the competition, Nepal’s Hari Kumar Rimal bagged bronze by completing the distance in 14 minutes 57.05 seconds. Likewise, India’s Sunil Dawar won silver by completing the race in 14 minutes 55.21 seconds.
