Nepal’s dream to play cricket world cup alive

KATHMANDU: The Nepali National Cricket Team, which won ICC World T20 Asia Qualifier Group ‘B’ winner title, returned home this afternoon.
Sports authorities and supporters had welcomed the Nepali Team at Tribhuvan International Airport. The team had won the qualifying title remaining unbeaten in the tournament held in Malaysia.
Nepal clinched the title on the basis of run rate when the final match under qualifying round was cancelled.
With the title, Nepal reached the selection of sound round as a Group ‘B’ winner.
Talking to journalists in brief at the TIA, National Cricket Team Captain Paras Khadka said Nepal’s dream to play world cup cricket is still alive. “We have a dream to play the world cup as we have gone through the first round. Two rounds are still to go so we will have chance to make outstanding performance and get selected for the world cup”.
